This weeks photo hunt is great! An easy one. Other then I LOVE MY FAMILY, which is a given, I LOVE SWITZERLAND. I know for some of my readers this comes as a real shock (ok sarcasm here)....Switzerland is where I was born and lived until I was 12. It is a gorgeous country. I love the green, the mountains, the alps, the water, the rivers, the cows, the trees, the gorgeous villages, the slower pace of life, the fabulous hiking, the fact that Switzerland is SOO central in Europe, The list of what I love and miss about Switzerland is long. I miss it immensely! I have Swiss Cheese flowing through my veins.
Anyhow, here are a few shots of Switzerland and what I miss
Ok I got carried away.. I have found these photos through my archives. They have been taken in the last 10 years. You will see my best Friend, Sam (A Bernese Mountain dog, a Swiss breed, and HE ALSO MISSES SWITZERLAND), and some have my brother and sister in law, and you might catch a glimpse of my oldest daughter (my youngest daughter has yet to go to Switzerland....she will next summer)...

Can you understand why I LOVE SWITZERLAND so much!?!

Happy Weekend!
These are gorgeous! I can see why you love it there :) Happy photo hunting!
I just wanted to leave a comment to say how beautiful the photos of Switzerland are- I felt calmer after just looking at them.
Switzerland! How many times I've heard it's a wonderful place. A place which famous for skiing. I love the snow mountains there and the snow.
But, a dog lover like me just can't get away from SAM. He looks intelligent and smart! :)
Great sharing. thanks!
Wow - absolutely gorgeous photos. I can see why you love it. I simply must get over there soon.
Happy Weekend.
Oh sister friend, all the smells and feelings come back just looking at these. There is no place like home....xo d
What a wonderful collection of photographs and I completely understand why you love Switzerland so much. I know you can hardly wait until next summer when you visit and get to introduce your youngest daughter to your home of origin. I can imagine how hard it must be to have left your home as a pre-teenager and to have ended up in such a different climate now. I want to go just looking at your photographs. I've never been to Switzerland but I did get a peak at the mountains from the train which I took my daughter on from Ulm, Germany to France. Beautiful country even if only viewed from the train.
FANTASTIC! I backpacked through Switzerland and LOVED IT! That big sweet dog melts my butter. LOVE IT.
I can see why you love it: it's very beautiful. Nice dog too!
Great photos. The scenery is so beautiful and you all look to be having such fun. Have a great weekend
I did several post about Berchtesgaden which looks somewhat like your photos, I would love to go back someday.
You asked about the Photo, it was me in 1968-Vietnam, miss Bee with the big hair was the same time frame.
Whoa! What's not to love? Gorgeous...
what gorgeous, crisp and clear photos!! nice work and a beautiful place.
gruetzi!

manfred
I went to Switzerland to ski...I think I met the same dog;) Great photos!
Hmmm. Why, yes. I think I understand! Beautiful photos. Happy Thanksgiving!
Beautiful. Those horns look like enormous dope pipes. If you used those it wouldn't just the mountains that would be high. Have a great weekend.
Your photos look so beautiful! I mean they really make me feel like going to Switzerland. I haven't been there before but my parents had. And your Bernese Mountain dog really look... can I say gorgeous? I know that's a he, but he looks so beautiful!
Those are absolutely breathtaking shots of Switzerland...I can understand your love for it! I was there about 8 years ago and would love to go back and see more! Bernese Mountain dogs are the best! We thought about getting one of those at one time, but all the hair! We instead opted for a Rhodesian Ridgeback (very short hair)!
great shots of Switzerland. how i wished if i could be there soon. i have always dreamed of going to Switzerland but i have yet to have enough holidays to do so :(
definitely gonna make it a point in the near future :)
Nice country, nice scene, nice environment, so peaceful. That St. Bernard is so cute.
Oh these are so beautiful!!! No wonder you love it.

Sabine,
I make the collages of photos with picassa. you can do 4, 9,
sometimes I do a collage of 16 and then I crop out one row so it will fit in my space on the blog. I hope I'm not confusing you...
The photos are beautiful, and one day would love to visit there. It is more than I imagined. Have a great weekend.
WOW. Super photos!
BTW, CONGRATS on winning a Photo Book - I saw your name on the winners list (I won one, too) How cool!!
Oh... it was a participants list. Oops... (sorry for getting all excited - I was excited to see names I recognized) Shoot me now. LOL *blush*
Now, who wouldn't miss a place like that! I hope to see Switzerland some day!

Have a nice weekend!...c",)
Switzerland looks beautiful. I don't think I'd ride the ski lift thingy though, LOL. And the dog looks like he has a huge smile on his face. Have a lovely weekend!
My 'I loves' are up at Siani's Pot-Pourri.
Nothing wrong with Switzerland, a beautiful set of shots!
The bottle of brandy on the doggy, though, was missing ;-)
You and I are some of the most fortunate in life: to live where we love the beauty and to live with our animals and passions.
Gorgeous photos! Switzerland is a beautiful country. My humans and I spent a week in a chalet in Switzerland last February, and we loved it. Wonderful photos for this week's Hunt. :)
Here's what I Love.
Oh, how I love all the shots. I'm thinking of linking your Switzerland pic to my travel site.
This is my first hunt. Do come by and share your thoughts.
Happy weekend.
Oh my... you have a set of beautiful pictures. Love them all. Have fun!
Hi Sabine,
I have never been, Bavaria has been about the closest and I can see why you love it, it is definately one ot the places I would love to go to.
Cheers Mark
Beautiful shots of such a beautiful place - though I have never been there.
Such amazing pictures. Makes me want to plan a trip now.
Gorgeous photographs of a wonderful landscape - but that's nothing new! I sooo love the "EdelweiĆ"; I've never seen one in real life!! Beautiful!
Thanks for the clarification about the dog, Sabine. Never knew there is another dog so similar to Saint Bernard.
Well, still, a bottle of brandy will not hurt on any dog ;-)
Cheers.
Switzerland is a nice country! I heard that a lot. You have beautiful photos1
I just KNOW I will love Switzerland. Someday i hope to visit. :D
