My next home

I am always looking for a new concept home. I found this one tonight
Container City (via Apartment Therapy). I love the simplicity and the colors.

What I have been up to lately

I started Swimming Laps. I swim 3-4 times a week. I used to be a swimmer back in High School and College, but after years of smelling like chlorine, I gave it up!
My little one swims and has been for two years. I sat there and thought "hmmm I should really get back to it!" And I did. The ONE thing that really made me get back in the pool was watching this 87 year old woman swimming every week that I was there; turns out, she swims 5 times a week. She is in amazing shape...

So I started slow. First 20 minutes, while my daughter took her lesson. Now I swim one hour minimum 3-4 times a week. I do different drills to keep me entertained... I also got myself a waterproof Ishuffle. I can sing (well not recommended) while swimming.. ok maybe hum! I also race the people next time me... I am competitive like that.. Of course, they do not know I am racing them... ;)

Do you believe that Palin is ready to take the roll of Vice President?

I have just added my own little poll on the right side.
I am really worried about Palin taking office under McCain... The more I hear her talk, the scarier it gets.

I have nothing against McCain, other then I am ready for Change, and I believe Obama is the one that CAn bring that on. But putting the two leading candidate aside, how do we feel regarding their VP. Because, they do need to take on the roll of President, if need be..

Butterflies for Obama

Today, my neighbor gave me an OBAMA/BIDEN sign. I put it up earlier today and when I came home the tree was full of butterflies. IS THIS a sign!?!?!?

My vote is already filled, sealed and signed...and mailed! Yet I am still going to be watching it closely!

I voted tonight!

Yes I voted tonight. My vote for OBAMA/BIDEN, I know NO BIG surprise! And Also Voted No for Proposition 8.
I voted no, because I believe that everyone has the right to choose who they should marry. It is definitely NOT the government's choice. That right of marriage was granted to California a while back and now they are trying to take that right away.
I say that is ridiculous! Vote No on Prop 8

And the reasons why I voted for Obama.. is well he is THE MAN!!!! And I have been talking about him for a year + now, so I don't need to go into it!
Hasn't he run a fabulous campaign?

Weekend Snapshot: Kosher Hot Dog

I was at a horse show all weekend (hey what's new, right?!?!). On my way out of my daughter's last class were the dogs ready for the Dog Parade. I absolutely fell in love with the Corgie.. He is a Kosher Hot Dog... notice the yarmulke.... Adorable, I say!

Weekend Snapshot: Surf's Up

No, I do not surf, and no one in my family does. Living in Southern California, we often walk by a surf's shop and and I did just that, this weekend. So here is my shot!
I have not been able to blog much lately. My plate has been quite full and now I have inherited my daughter's cold on top of that. Maybe I should have taken a picture of my nose, starting to look like Rudolph the Red Nose reindeer, but maybe I will save that for when we get closer to Christmas! ;) For now, I leave you with this shot. Photo Hunt: Sad

This week's theme is SAD.
On Wednesday night, Malina's first horse, Sydney (show name Sydney Down Under), had to be put down. He was pretty old for a horse (in his late 20's) and he had been living in Pasture. He was kicked by another horse and his injuries were too severed and beyond help.

We will miss Sidney, he taught Malina alot AND he was quite full of character!
