Juaquin Phoenix
Is this for real? I am really on the fence here.. It could be drugs (let's not forget River Phoenix and his tragic ending) or mental illness...We don't even have to go to far back in history to remember another big star that lost it for a while.... remember Brittany Spears...
I am not sure here.. I felt really bad that everyone was laughing.. and god I hope he was acting...

Happy TWO YEAR Anniversary to my blog
Two years ago today, I decided to start a blog to blog about our journey to China. I later found out that blogspot was not allowed in China; at least not at the time. So I started an other blog to blog while traveling through China and I kept this one for fun.... I cannot believe that it was two years ago. I have visited amazing blogs and met some amazing bloggers. What a great journey it has been. Here is to many more years!

Photo Hunt: Warm
Photo Hunter's theme is warm. I chose this old photo of ME. I was 22 months in that picture. My mom recently sent me this photo. I just love it! I was born and raised in Switzerland, so this is somewhere in Switzerland in the Winter. I just love this photo mainly because of the look on my face and my glasses.

Weekend Snap Shot: The California Desert
![]()
This shot was taken last Monday, actually. So I am cheating in terms of WEEKEND snapshot, but I haven't taken any photos since that shot. I went skiing for four days last weekend. And on my way down, Monday, the view was amazing. YES I did take this shot while driving.. I did slow down and there was no one in front of me nor behind me and as you can see the road is straight, so it wasn't TOO dangerous! ;)

Music Revisted 20 years later
Today, my teenage daughter played a new song in the car (she is my car DJ)...this new song by FloRida...
Right away, I said "WAIT A MINUTE I KNOW THIS SONG!" (yes I got all excited and said it really loud! Small things excite me). I mentioned that this was a song I used to listen to 20+ years ago by Dead or Alive...
She didn't believe me... well here is FloRida's Round and Round....
Compared to Dead or Alive's You Spin me Round...
(haa doesn't that make you miss the 80's hair!!)
He just simply took an existing piece of music from 20 years ago and tweaked it a bit....
Compare the chorus.....
Dead or Alive
"*You spin me right round, baby
right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round"
FloRida
"You spin my head right round, right round When you go down, when you go down down (Kesha) You spin my head right round, right round When you go down, when you go down down"

Male/ Female side of a computer
Top ten reasons why computers are male
10. They have a lot of data but are still clueless.
9. A better model is always just around the corner.
8. They look nice and shiny until you bring them home.
7. It is always necessary to have a backup.
6. They’ll do whatever you say if you push the right buttons.
5. The best part of having either one is the games you can play.
4. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
3. The lights are on but nobody’s home.
2. Big power surges knock them out for the night.
1. Size does matter.
Top ten reasons why computers are female
10. The instruction manual is mostly wishful thinking.
9. Even after you’ve turned them on, they just sit there waiting for you to make the next move.
8. Incorrectly worded commands are completely ignored, or worse, taken literally.
7. They reveal all your secrets to anyone who wants to know.
6. Upgrades react badly to things left behind by previous versions.
5. Rules are absolute and there is no possibility of compromise.
4. Whatever you buy for them, there will always be a newer version that they want.
3. Nothing is ever “really” deleted… obsolete files will be brought up out of nowhere just to annoy you.
2. Error messages always translate to: “Well if you don’t know I’m not going to tell you.”
1. Despite your best efforts to prevent it, they continue to permit unauthorized entry.

Paulo Coelho's Veronika Decides TO die
My favorite author and the best writer of this century has sold the rights of one of his books to make it into a movie. I am really excited. Though, Veronika Decides To Die, is not my favorite of his books, I am looking forward to seeing the film... Al of his books have a message. They are not just simple fiction... Here is a preview...

Customer Service: SmartkPak RULES
This is my favorite company, SmartPak. I first discovered it when my daughter's barn asked us to put our horse on supplements. The barn handles all the feedings and supplements at the barn. We started to receive a catalog from Smartpak and I realized that they included a CANINE section. I ordered dog food and supplements for my dog. Food and supplements that I already used all well packaged. It makes it easier for me, and especially if he is taken care of by someone else. Everything is already pre-measured.
So Why, Am I talking about them? Well this week, I had been pouring out the supplements and I thought to myself : "wow, it seems like there is less supplement then usual!" But life is so busy that I just stuffed it somewhere deep in my mind and moved on....
Then Friday I received a phone call from SmartPak. They called me to let me know that it had come to their attention that they had sent me too little supplement. So they were going to send me the correct amount and reimburse me for what they had sent me and give me a discount for my next order. WOW! I hadn't even called to complain! This is the second time, they have done this. Back when there was massive recall of dog food, SmartPak called me and voluntarily recalled my dog's food and reimbursed me and sent me free food to replace what I had!
Anyhow, this is my two cents on this great company. Check them out! It is rare to have a company with such great customer service. I am not getting paid for this endorsement. I JUST love them!

SO EXCITED about iLife09, especially iPhoto 09

I am so excited about iPhoto.
Check out all the things the new upgrade can do...
iLife iPhoto
* facial recognition in iPhoto 09, which will identify and file all the pictures of any person you initially identify. If you're upgrading from 08 to 09, it'll automatically scan all your existing photos for faces.
* will automatically tag all the photos in Facebook, if you hit the new 'send album to Facebook' button? You just have to make sure that when you've ID'd the faces, you add in their Facebook name.
* If you take a picture with a camera with GPS or a cameraphone, it'll store that in iPhoto, and you'll be able to view a Google Map with pins dropped where you have photos taken, all within iPhoto.
* The new photo manipulation stuff works really well. Auto enhance will make the most of your photo, and the slider scale popup will reflect that, so you can use it as a bit of a learning tool on how to improve your photos manually.
* Retouch now has edge detection, so rather than blurring out any blemishes or marks, the program will guess at what should be there instead.
* The slideshows you can make can now be set to specially licensed music—like Toy Story, Snoopy and Miles Davis. Once you've created these slideshows, you can now export them to your iPhone or as a Quicktime file, or upload to YouTube.
I just love APPLE!

Weekend Snapshot: Dinner out
![]()
So I was out with some good friends on Saturday night. We met at Cafe Firenze. It is a nice Italian restaurant and lately has become quite popular because their chef is Fabio on The Reality Show called TOP CHEF (not to be confused with the CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS NOT BUTTER-FABIO)
So here I am out with my husband and my good friends, and the subject of my blog comes up.. Turns out everyone thinks my blog as gone by the way side... They gave my blog THREE THUMBS DOWN....
Can you believe that!?!?
So I am on a mission... I need to get Leslie's thumbs up again....
Sorry for the bad quality photo. This was THE ONLY photo I took all weekend. In the dark restaurant on my iphone...
