Photo Hunt: Rock(s)

This week's theme is Rock(s). I love climbing rocks... been a passion of mine for a long time. My highest point was Kilimajaro which I reached October 26, 2003. What a great experience that was. Here I am with my husband on the highest peak in Africa at 5,891.8 metres (19,330 ft). I climbed this with THE MOST amazing guide in the world, Onesmo Gabriel at East African Voyage.


And my most recent climb was back in June and we climbed Half Dome is Yosemite.. Incredible view from there. You can see more photos of that climb here

Living Art

I have found this great site. It is in Trafalgar Square in London; the FOURTH Plinth was built for an equestrian statue that was never created. Started on July 6th and for the next 100 days, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every hour a HUMAN will fill the space of that statue and you can view it on their live cam. I have been watching it since yesterday. Every hour it changes. There is a little write up on the side of the camera that gives you an idea of who is on there right now. Take a look at One & Other.

I am taking the next Photo Hunt off. I am away for a few days and SUPER busy with my kids. Summer vacation is definitely for kids and not for MOMS! :) Can't wait for school to start again! :D

I am not sure what this tree is but it sure was beautiful in the spring...
