Visiting Mama and Mami's home and Rakshabandhan!

Ever since Mama and Mami moved to Rhode Island, we have been wanting to drive down and visit them!  So this past weekend, we did just that!  Unfortunately Mami was out of town, so we weren't able to see her as well, but we had a great time seeing their new apartment and exploring their area!  We started off with some delicious lunch at a vegetarian restaurant (we are very jealous of how many great food options they have nearby!) followed by visiting a park that is along the waterfront of the Providence River.  The park had a fun carousel to ride, cornhole boards to play, and a relaxing beach area to find shells and play in the sand!

After enjoying time at the park, we went back to Mama and Mami's house to spend some time in the apartment and celebrate Rakshabandhan together!  It has been several years since Shyam and I have been in the same place for Rakshabandhan, so that made it extra special this year :)  Keshav was fascinated by the whole ceremony, and I'm sure he will be so excited to receive a rakhi from his baby sister next year!
