Welcome to our blog!

Vivek and I wanted to share some news about Keshav and Vidya on a frequent basis with our close family and friends, and hopefully this will be a good way to do so! Please visit often, and I will do my best to keep things updated!

Earth Day projects!

I have always loved Earth Day!  It is so great to have a day where we can think about our planet and all the things we can do to make it a better place to live now and in the future.  This year, Keshav is finally at an age where we could talk about Earth Day and what it means and do some fun projects related to Earth Day!  Here are some of the things we did this week:

We made a wreath of Keshav's handprints and wrote down on each
handprint ways that we could help the planet.
We reused an empty milk jug and Vidya's baby food pouch tops to make
a monster that can hold extra plastic grocery bags.
We went around the neighborhood and picked up trash.  We also picked up
trash in the park that we visited.
Keshav and Daddy did a planting project together where they made a mini-
greenhouse and planted different types of flowers and some green beans.
We can't wait to see how they are going to grow in the next several weeks!

Keshav is really starting to understand the concept of taking care of our planet.  I hope that the little bit that our small family does will make a difference in the lives of all the future generations!
