Welcome to our blog!
Vivek and I wanted to share some news about Keshav and Vidya on a frequent basis with our close family and friends, and hopefully this will be a good way to do so! Please visit often, and I will do my best to keep things updated!

19 months old!
Merry Christmas everyone!! We missed taking Keshav's picture on his rocking chair for his 18 month old birthday, so we decided to take it at 19 months! And what an amazing few months it has been! Keshav is truly a toddler now, and he has the temper tantrums to prove it :) I am constantly amazed by all the new things Keshav is learning everyday. He now can recognize every letter of the alphabet (except maybe "Q")! He loves looking at signs outside or at the mall and pointing out all the letters. He also recognizes numbers up through 12 and can count to 5 on his own! One of his favorite things to do is puzzles, and he can do his jungle animals puzzle, his cars and trucks puzzle, and his clock puzzle for quite a long time. He is a pro at his shape sorter toys and knows the names of many shapes. His favorite shapes are the hexagon, octagon, and pentagon. He also knows so many colors such as red, green, blue, yellow, white, orange, pink, and purple! He's working on brown and black right now :)
He loves music and requests songs to be played by singing parts of them such as "We're on our way," which sounds more like "WEOWAY" when he says it! His vocabulary seems to be doubling each week! He loves saying the names of his friends and family, and he can point them out in pictures. He can run, jump, walk on his tip toes, and balance on a balance beam. He climbs on everything including stairs, and he's getting much better at getting down the stairs by himself. Even though he is still a picky eater, he's learned how to eat with a spoon! He's into trying to do things all by himself (like a big boy) and gets very happy and proud when we cheer him on :) For example, he likes climbing up on his step stool and washing his hands with soap and brushing his teeth with toothpaste! He also helps wash himself during his bath, put his lotion on, and pull up his pants!
We are so blessed to have Keshav in our lives, and we are really looking forward to see what new things Keshav will learn and do in 2013!!
