Welcome to our blog!

Vivek and I wanted to share some news about Keshav and Vidya on a frequent basis with our close family and friends, and hopefully this will be a good way to do so! Please visit often, and I will do my best to keep things updated!

The Holidays in Kentucky - Part 3

We were back in Kentucky for New Years eve, and Nana and Nani hosted a little party for our family members to celebrate!  Even though the kids did not stay up until midnight, Keshav enjoyed helping to prepare the delicious dinner that everyone chipped in to make.  Vidya dressed up in the dress that Ba got for her and looked so sweet :)

Brotherly love :)
Posing for the camera!

All the food was amazing, especially since everyone participated in the cooking!  I made my Muffuletta sandwiches, and you can find the picture and recipe on Munshi Meals!  Here are the other dishes that were made:

Keshav and Daddy made guacamole!
Mama and Mami made sushi!
Nana and Rohit Kaka made Mulligatawny soup!
And Nani made a yummy taco salad bar with homemade salsa!

Vidya was very excited to taste sushi for the first time, but I'm afraid she wasn't a big fan and ended up throwing it on the floor!  We'll keep trying, though :)

On New Years day, Keshav and Vidya both had a great time playing with Bakaka, Diptikaki, Divya Masi, and Diya Masi who came to visit from Cincinnati!

On the day before we were leaving to come back to Boston, we drove up to Lexington to visit the Hindu temple.  Keshav has been learning about all the different Gods, so he was excited to see the murthis.  Vidya loved doing pradakshina (walking around the murthis), but her favorite part was eating the prasad!

They loved ringing the bell!

Vidya loves apples!

We then went to Ashwin Mama and Rohini Mami's house for lunch!  Mami had cooked up a feast for us, and the kids loved playing with their Abhu Masi and Parashar Mama!

Getting a ride with Ashwin Mama!

Bed masti with Masi and Mama!
All smiles with Rohini Mami!

It was a really fun trip for everyone!  Happy New Year!  Here's to a wonderful 2015!
