Welcome to our blog!

Vivek and I wanted to share some news about Keshav and Vidya on a frequent basis with our close family and friends, and hopefully this will be a good way to do so! Please visit often, and I will do my best to keep things updated!

15 month old birthday!

It's been 3 months since our last chair birthday picture, and wow, Keshav has grown so much since he turned 1!  He has developed an amazing personality (and an equally amazing temper!).  His vocabulary has increased to more than 30 words (many of which only Vivek and I understand, but spend a few days with him, and you'll figure it out!).  New words he has learned since he turned one include alligator, elevator, hippo, shoes, socks, shy, car, truck, train, fish, banana, carrot, avocado, eyes, knee, cup, pen, circle, heart, triangle, hi, bye, cracker, blueberry, baby, "round and round," and many more that I'm sure I'm leaving out!  He is learning the ABC's and consistently says these letters: A, B, G, P, M.  He points to body parts including his head, chest, knees, toes, eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and teeth.  He also sticks out his tongue on command!  He enjoys brushing his hair and teeth!  He loves looking at pictures of animals and makes the animal sounds of lion, tiger, dog, cat, monkey, and sheep.  He makes other sounds as well, which you can see here:

He is starting to recognize songs that we play for him in the car as soon as they start (especially wheels on the bus and Elmo's song!).  He is SO friendly and always says hello to anyone he meets (and often blows them kisses too!).  He is still quite a picky eater, and it's always a challenge to find something that Keshav will actually open his mouth to taste (I think he got that from me!).  He loves to climb on everything, and he runs quite fast...it's hard to keep up with him sometimes!  Overall, he is such a sweet boy, and he will melt your heart as soon as he smiles at you!  We are so lucky to have seen him grow over the past 15 months, and we can't wait to see what the next few months have in store for us!
