Since moving to our new home in Andover, MA, we haven't had much of a chance to explore Boston, which is about 30 miles south of where we live. So, as Shyam Mama is visiting, we decided to take a tour of Boston and get familiar with the sights. What better way to do that than on a Duck Tour! The Duck Tours use tour vehicles that are replicas of those built by the military during World War II, and they can travel on land and in water! Our Duck was bright pink and named Penelope Pru, and Keshav had a blast leaning out the open air window and catching all the sights both on land and out on the Charles River!
Keshav even got to drive the boat after it splashed down in the water!
Some of the sights included the Back Bay, Boston Common, Bunker Hill Monument, the North End, Quincy Market, the Public Garden, and the USS Constitution. We also got to see parts of the Freedom Trail, which is a 2.5 mile walk along a red-lined path and shows many of the historical sights of Boston. We can't wait to come back soon to explore all those places in more depth! For now, this was a good overview of our new hometown!
These are such great posts, Krishna!! I'm so glad we can keep up this way. We don't miss a beat! Things have been crazy recently, but we've finally settled down and can catch up now! Miss you guys so much and so excited about seeing you in almost one week!!! :)
