Happy 4th birthday to our sweet big boy! 4 years have flown by, and Keshav is growing up to be such a smart boy with a big personality! He certainly has the kindest heart and loves to be around people (especially those that are willing to play with him)! He loves his sister very much and always wants to give her hugs and kisses, but she has found out how to annoy him, so they do get into their brother-sister battles from time to time! But he is a very protective and gentle older brother.
One of the biggest changes that Keshav has encountered over this past year was starting school! He is now done with one full year of pre-school at Keystone Montessori, and he has enjoyed it so much! He is learning new things everyday, and he absorbs everything so well. This past year, they did units on Antarctica, Australia and the Solar System, and Keshav is often teaching us new things that we did not know about these topics! He is very excited to continue with the same teachers and classroom this next year as well.
He also has become a great swimmer and can swim on his own doing back float and freestyle for longer and longer distances! He has always loved the water, and he continues to improve greatly during his swim lessons. He has been enjoying piano lessons and soccer practices as well. This is such a fun age to be able to expose them to different activities, and so far, Keshav has really been enthusiastic about all of them!
Keshav's reading and math skills have also picked up over the year, and he is now able to read full books on his own and do more complicated math problems. But, when you ask him what type of work he would like to do, he gravitates toward science! He loves learning about animals, and whenever we go to the zoo, he always reads the signs and loves to know what kind of diet they have and where you can find them in the world! He also LOVES learning about dinosaurs! His favorite show is Dinosaur Train, and he has read so many books about dinosaurs. He teaches me new facts that he has learned about dinosaurs everyday, and he is super excited about his dinosaur-themed birthday party we will be having for him in a couple of weeks!
