Vivek and I wanted to share some news about Keshav and Vidya on a frequent basis with our close family and friends, and hopefully this will be a good way to do so! Please visit often, and I will do my best to keep things updated!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
December is such a fun month because of all of the holiday activities for kids! We loved decorating our house for the holidays including our Christmas tree and personalized stockings!
We wanted to start a new tradition with Keshav (and eventually with Vidya), and I came across this idea about having "Kindness Elves" visit for the month from Santa's workshop. Basically the idea is that Santa has sent some elves to Keshav and Vidya, and they encourage the kids to do acts of kindness each day up until Christmas with the hope that they will continue it throughout the year! It is especially fun for the kids because the elves hide in different places throughout the house, and Keshav has to go and find them each morning to see what his task for the day is!
Keshav named our elves Ali and Abe!
Our act of kindness for the day was to donate some food to those in need!
So far, we have done many fun acts of kindness with Keshav like donating food to the local food pantry, making Christmas cards to send to the military personnel that can't come home for the holidays, giving someone a big smile to brighten their day (Keshav gave his big smile to his gym teacher Mr. Dave), and making cookies for our neighbors!
Keshav the baker! He loved taking the cookies over to our neighbors!
Tasting the cookies!
Giving Vidya a taste
Making cards for the troops!
Keshav is truly enjoying the spirit of the "Kindness Elves," and we all are learning about giving back to our community and being kind to others! We'll keep you posted about what the elves are up to for the rest of the month!
Vidya is looking forward to being old enough to find the elves too!
Finally, the holidays are about having fun and being merry! And what better way to do that than with some song and dance! Keshav loves music and dancing, just like his daddy and mommy!
This is so wonderful! How great it is to teach our little ones about giving and kindness. You are an amazing mother, Krishna, for your innate thoughtful nature and for passing on this beautiful gift to Keshav. You came up with some great ideas to get the kids involved in the community so they can give to others. I wish we got more involved this season ourselves. I have so much to learn from you! P.S. The kindness elves - such a cute and creative idea!! We should do that too next year!
Reema, that is so sweet! Thanks for the kind words...we really had a good time with the elves this year. Hopefully next Christmas, Keshav will remember their significance and want to participate again!
Aww, love the decorations and the holiday spirit of kindness!
